And she surrendered...

She was just 22... A jolly person studing in Bachelor's level with lots of aspirations and suddenly last seven months of her life led to her to the path of heaven...

Please refer this link  http://www.onlinekhabar.com/2015/07/298752/#sthash.hj2Q5Wyq.dpuf

Who's the culprit?

There's less doubt that her husband and his family were not only controlling Latasha's life rather they were assaulting her physically, mentally and emotionally. However, the verdict of court is yet to be disclosed.

Nevertheless, I see two faces of our society with this painful death of #Latasha.

I am still pondering on our society's mental state which am sure is almost 99% of houses go through.

1. We women are still considered as the #second #sex. Our parents or guardians are more concerned on the wealth of a person rather than the upbringing of the to be son -in - law. The concept women look after the household chores and men work for living still do exist knowingly or unknowingly. Nothing different with Latasha's parents too.
But, they should have been more careful when it was about arranged marriage. It's plaintive to know that they were appeased on people's voice. They were ok when the guy had house in Sundhara and they were again ok when they knew he was living on a rented house. They were ok if he was Major of Nepal Army and they were absolutely ok when he actually was not.
How pathetic can this be?
Or is it like they feel like their daughter will not get any better person in future?

2. She was a bachelors level student, completely dependent on others. Still her parents want her to get married. Shouldn't they have waited till she finds a good job or settle her caree before she gets hitched? If only she was a working independent lady, may be she could have been more confident and vocal. But again, that doesn't mean all educated independent women are vocal...

3. As per Latasha's mother and her girlfriends, she was repeatedly crying out her pain. But as most of our mothers do, she also  tried to console her and tell her to be patient. If only she had taken things seriously, things would have been different now.

We belong to such society where from the day we were born our guardian make us understand that we women have to face a lot of challenges in life and we have to accept it. We have to compromise, we have to be patient and we always should maintain a healthy and happy relation with everyone around. We were never taught to fight, to raise our voice or to leave things behind and walk out.

We were always Saraswati, Laxmi but we could never mould ourselves into Durga. That is the ground reality and that's how we women are always unhappy beneath.

4. Men tend to believe they are a superior gender and trust me it's not only their mistake. Our society, our own parents make them feel so. For a simple instance scroll through the jokes in internet, you will find 100s of those which are in anyways dominating women. Sarcasm about women and we all accept it and even laught it out. The advertisements related to household chores always have the women in the screen be it washing, cleaning or babysitting and still we are least bothered and accept it.
Why we don't see men doing the chores? Why men are enjoying the cooked food, wearing the washed clothes only. They should themselves learn to cook or wash or babysit. So, these simple things since birth make men feel women exist to assist them not to hold hands and walk together. They can't stand women who are far ahead leaving them behind. This is the Reality. Refering to Latasha's mother again, Mr. Bishnu Karki is one of these men who think his wife is his property. Nobody can see, talk or come close to her. He even kept a track of what she is doing and where is she going. The question is what did he learn from school, his parents and our society? He works for the people, for their betterment but Why did his education collapse while mistreating his wife?
Acc. to annual report of  Supreme Court of Nepal in year 2068/2069, 112 cases of domestic violence in District Court and 6 in Appellate Court are registered and the saddest part is this rate is increasing everyday and to think from the other side, the better part is women are being vocal and coming forward to rescue themselves instead of suppressing their pain.

My heartfelt condolences to the departed soul. The culprit needs to behind the bars as soon as possible. No matter if it's proved to be suicide or it's mere an accident, people responsible for suffocating her should not be set free...

Where is the next generation moving towards?

We grow up thinking that our parents will never understand our struggles but the truth is that they invest their time making sure we never understand theirs.
I pity those unemployed youth who think smoking, taking weed or getting drunk is absolutely their choice of living and has nothing to do with others.
If only they CARE or THINK about the hardship of their parents!!! Life is short but that doesn't mean it's ending tomorrow. I wish I could change their state of mind.

Another toxicity of patriarchal culture!

- See more at: http://annapurnapost.com/News.aspx/story/2110#sthash.3E0yRJ1A.eaL4fPsz.dpuf

We are continuously fighting for Gender equality and to see this kind of rule and regulation coming up is extremely disturbing. I am amazed to know that people still think drivers are supposed to be men only and it's height of illogical to predict company of women distract men!
Awful !

It's Love !

Many times I've tried to write something about love but always failed to do so.  I start with some lines but eventually omit as I had that feeling that says they're not all true. But, today without any coercion of my mind my fingers are tapping the letters and my heart is dictating.

It's the second day and my love is not infront of my eyes. They are desperately searching for him. My ears are missing his words and my mind is stuck on his mischievous smile. This feeling is kind of weird. I mean I am being impatient to see him back on my arms. Is this what you call love? If yes then I love him to moon and back.

It is said, marriages are made in heaven and I truly believe on that. Having said that I feel man is responsible for the maintenance work :) I also strongly believe in whatever happens happens for the best, you just have to be patient till the right moment comes. And, I thank God for bringing him in my life.

I have that special feeling for him for so many reasons:
The way he makes me smile, the way he looks at me, the way he makes my heart melt with his poems and how he put up with my moodiness. He gives me strength when I am weak. He gives me hope when I think of the future. The only person who always know what I'am thinking and what I'm going to say. More than anything else, I owe him for his pure heart and honesty. How different we are but still our differences compliment each other.

We talk about equality !

I have a strong belief in equality of opportunity irrespective of caste, creed and gender.

It bothers me when the much deserving candidates made to lose the opportunity just because there are other non deserving people who belong to a so called marginalized or a vulnerable group. I raise my voice for the equality of opportunity.

Illiteracy directly proportional to patriarchal society!

Statistics say that about 66% of the world’s adult women are illiterate. This is mainly due to the unavailability of access to education in many patriarchal societies where education for women isn’t considered significant.

Unavailability of nearby schools or colleges can be understood. Lack of infrastructure can be understood but because of this male dominated society is illogical . This patriarchal society has indeed paused the growth of a girl, lady and a women which in turn has created hurdle in the growth of the nation.

Relation between a father and his daughter !

"Timro Janmadinko upalakshyama timro Dirghayiuko, Suswastha ko lagi Ishwar sanga sadhai prathana gardachu
-Your's Loving Bau"

The first message I got this morning on my Birthday. It was 5:30 a.m and he calls me up and says Happy Birthday!
These little gestures he makes, makes my life a colorful one. A very happy and content person I am is all because of my Dad.
This is the second birthday I am waking up at my in laws place and I miss my daddy a lot. No matter how big I have become or how my life has changed, I am the same little lady for him and he is my all time favorite super hero.
Daddy can never be wrong is what I still believe in.

Life as a secret story to reveal

Life's got a lot of lessons to teach...
Every other passing day has secrets stories to reveal...
I'm here gradually facing them...
Sometimes immense joy come along and
sometimes its hard to believe...

O ye this is life ...life as a secret story to reveal...

It was my day: July 31st 2012

It was actually my DAY as my friends teased me saying , "aaja yesto thulo mahan parwa "

Many people I had encountered with, do not find the day; they were born special or extra ordinary or something they want to live for, but whatever the age might be, the charm of the "BIRTH DAY" has never diminished from my heart rather it excites me more. I agree, I am adding up my age but that can never stop me behaving like a kiddo. After all there is a child inside all of us.

This year's 31st July brought me new happiness and taught me new lessons too. To tell you the truth, I had no clue that it would be spent in such a mesmerizing way. However, I knew it would go very well as I had already made a different plan this year.

My day started with a surprise package right from my bed in the early morning. Just imagine, I was sleeping on my bed and all of a sudden you hear some people popped in your bedroom singing birthday song screaming loud and clear with birthday cake right under your nose. How would you feel? I was super shocked and was really HAPPYYYY !!! They made my day :)

Next, I'm sure the innocent and loving heart of Dil Shova Shrestha had touched many hearts after the interview was shared extensively in  facebook users timeline.  I was one of them and I had made up my mind to help her whatever I can from my side that very moment. I called her up to express my gratitude and asked her if I could help her in anyways.

But to my amusement, she said after the "Dishanirdesh" program was aired on television, people had flooded her place with tons of food and eateries and because of that, they are having a hard time even to manage space to sleep. She asked if I could donate some money instead. Here, I didn't want to donate a nominal amount of money rather want to give away something that has value directly to the needy people and see them smiling.
So, I thought of buying some stationary items for the little kids over there and chocolates to give away. But, the fact, the place was flooded with tons of necessary stuffs, I somehow felt like I should help those who are real in need rather than just giving away things to them who already possess.

I was not trying to do it for the sake of doing it. I wanted to start another year of my life in a positive way, spreading smiles as much as I can. So, I changed my plan and went to an orphanage called Sahara Bal Griha, an unnotable organisation in city where almost 15 kids of different ethnicity and age live under one roof. I was indeed more happy to share my happiness with those small little kids who actually were happy to get those chocolates, exercise books, pencils, pens, drawing books etc. Though I couldn't do much, small support from my side made them smile too and looking at their smile, you can imagine how I felt.

Last not but the least, it was the time to party... after all... it was my birthday... We headed towards a place in Baluwatar... ate like a horse, danced like the devil and laughed like drain.  Oh What fun we had.

And, here comes our adventurous ride at night. I had promised in the early morning that I would go and visit Budhalinkantha Temple while visiting Sahara Bal Griha but forgot it completely after so much of hassle. While returning back to home, my brain somehow made me remember that, so there was no way to break my own promise. So, here my exhausted soul couldn't rest and went to the door of God. I won't lie, I was little scared too as it was already very late and the load shedding of Nepal makes it worst. Nevertheless, I along with my dear people reached there safely and with our content and happy faces returned back crossing the Ma. Pa. Se check at various places. Here, I fulfilled my another promise. :)

All in all, I must say, this day has filled my heart with Rainbow and here I am just pasting my facebook status one more time for the good people I have in my life :))

I had to let you know again how great it was to see you all this morning. I had never cut my cake right on my bed on my night dress and you all made me do that...Thanks for that Surprise visit ...What more can I say? Adding up an age is not always fun but with you all, I find it so simple. Thank you all one more time for taking leave from offices and spending the whole day smiling with me.With family and friends like you guys to spend time with, any age is great! I am BLESSED :)

And at times...

At times, you feel like you are being dragged in no way for no reason.
At times, you know the answers but you just don't want to utter a single word.
At times, you just want to scream at your loudest voice, but you keep quite...
and at times, the sun sets before it's time and....
I agree at times, it rains when there's no any sign.

It's a wonder plant !

My doctor suggested me to use cream which contain aloe vera, and I felt like why not directly apply aloe vera gel when it's there in my backyard instead of searching a cream. After, I read this, I am more into Aloe vera these days and I guess you all can try too. I must say Aloe Vera is actually a wonder plant.

Suitable for all skin types, I found out that aloe vera gel can be used even by people with sensitive skin and I am way happy as I have a hyper sensitive skin. Here, I have found out more about it's benefits.

1. Aloe vera gel is great for moisturizing.

Popularly used as a moisturizer by women who use mineral make-up regularly, aloe vera gel is great for face. Applying aloe vera gel on skin prior to application of make-up can prevent the skin from drying.
Aloe vera gel can be used as an aftershave. Its healing properties can treat small cuts caused by shaving.

2. Aloe vera gel is great for treating acne.

Aloe vera gel has antimicrobial properties that kill bacteria and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce skin inflammation. It allows the skin to heal quickly and naturally with minimal scarring. Aloe is moisturizing but doesn`t give skin a greasy feel, so it`s perfect for anyone with an oily complexion.

3. Aloe vera helps fight common problems of skin aging.

Let`s face it: as we get older, everyone begins to worry about the appearance of lines and the loss of elasticity in our skin. The vitamin C and E present in aloe gel can improve our skin`s natural firmness and keep our skin hydrated.

4. Aloe vera can lessen the visibility of stretch marks.

Whether due to a growth spurt, weight change, or pregnancy - many of us are plagued with unsightly stretch marks. These marks appear due to minor tears in the layers of the skin caused by sudden and excessive stretching. Aloe vera gel can help hide these stretch marks by healing these wounds.

5. Aloe vera can be used to treat sunburn.

Aloe vera gel can reduce the pain and swelling you experience during sunburn. It acts as a protective layer on the skin and helps replenish its moisture. When the skin is hydrated, then it will recover faster from the sunburn.

These many benefits and I was wondering. Let's try the natural way this time to cure our skin. If you had already tried it or are a regular user, do let us know how does it work! I am applying it for sure after all I believe natural remedies are way better than chemicals !

Service Charge !!!

The culture of eating out is gradually taking it's pace. Working hard like an ass for a week and seeking for some good food has become a staple routine in city areas. As far as possible people love to nibble something like fast food everyday.
Keeping up with the trend, I am one of them who regularly have to search her lunch pack in some restaurants. I agree, a lazy bum like me has no other alternate too...As usual, I went to a restaurant yesterday to fill my empty tummy, stay on a Que for a couple of minutes, grabbed those food coupons, gave it to the counter again, waited for another some minutes...and here the number was called. I got my order from food counter itself.

Everything was going well. The ambiance was ok, food was equally good. But here, my temper got high as soon as I saw the bill. It had a self service board hung at every corner and accordingly the customer were serving for themselves. This was perfectly fine for me but What am I supposed to do When the bill showed 10% service charges as well. .Aree when I am doing all the effort by myself, Why on Earth do I have to pay an extra amount as service charges? I wonder what was the service I got except the cooked food? I couldn't stay deaf and dumb and asked the person, is it something fair? He didn't have an answer and said it's a rule and they can't help it. It's the trend that's going on and still continuing.

It was ungrateful, it was something unlawful, it was something that irritates a normal soul. Disgusting, disrespectful, fraudulent and something very annoying I say.

Adieu till my next post friends ! God Bless !

Which one of the door will you open???

Which one of this door will you open? Money, Luck or is it Love?

Which one is more important? Which door will you open? Think for a moment and reply...Is it Money or you believe in Fate instead? Are you inclining towards LOVE? Do you think Love is everything? So, tell me which one do you choose??? Is it MONEY? Is it LUCK or it's simply LOVE ?

Here, I remember that popular statement we used to write in slam books when we were in school: Money: "Money is something but not everything". I still don't remember why we used to think that way, when we even didn't know What money exactly is? I again remember those days when we used to have debates on Fate/Luck Vs Karma/Work and every time those who speak in favour of Karma grabbed more points. So, what left? Love? A bit difficult question now..! Love is something really divine, it's something that you feel and can't express in words. Love makes your life worth living. Love is magic. Love is beyond definition.....
But, deep down inside, I am sad to share this, I recently got to read:

"Falling in love may feel like a meeting of hearts and minds. But in reality it's a kind of temporary insanity driven by hormones." scientists say. Julia Stuart reports ! now What?

Let me ask you again... so which one of this door will you open? Money, Luck or is it Love?

I myself am in dilemma... I am lying down on my bed right at the moment... I am in pain....It is extremely difficult to pass time like this. I am depressed. I am frustrated. Doctor warned: I shouldn't walk, I shouldn't talk much and most of all I shouldn't eat what I want. My mind has become dumb, body feels numb ...and there's only feeling of pain flowing in my mind...!!!

So, let me ask you one more time...which one of this door will you open? Money, Luck or is it Love?

A line which I used to read in school, "Health is Wealth" is revolving in my head. I never took this statement seriously. I never ate what I had to eat. I never took rest when I had to take. I ran for "Money, I tried to grab Luck and I searched for Love'. But, all I feel is empty handed now....I regret, I never had time to myself...I never realized I am equally important, I never realized Health is Wealth in real terms....and now I am lying on bed helpless...!

Money can't bring back my time that I spent on lying like this, Luck nor can and Love did not cure/conquer my disease...So, I got an answer as which one is important for not only me but for you too?Have you ever thought how Healthy is your Health??? You must be thinking, money is treating me, you must be thinking luck is helping me to live. But I question myself, if I were healthy, I wouldn't be needing this freaking money, if luck was in favour, I wouldn't be this torn ever....

So, let me ask you one more time...which one of this door will you open? Money, Luck or is it Love?

and if it's about me Health comes first !!!

So, here I repeat: Health is Wealth - Preserve it ! Take good care of your body, after all it is the only one you have got. Once again, right now you may feel that this will not bother you at all, but at some point it is going to take a strain on your body and by then it will be too late....

Think before it's too late or shall I once again ask: Which one of this door will you open? Money, Luck or is it Love?

* Here, I is an imaginary character !

Keep living and loving!

that Traffic Police didi...

Oh that lady traffic police !!!

I never miss to see that traffic police didi while coming to office. The chaotic traffic, horns and honks, hundreds thousands of people and that strong simple lady !

It's raining cats and dogs but you see her standing tall,  it's a windy day and she's still doing her job. The scorching sun is bothering me here but see she still is blowing her whistle there.

I salute her and for her energy, for her determination and for her dedication towards the general public. I say real Iron lady to her.

Pedestrians are walking without following the signals, drivers are rarely following the traffic rules. Many drivers/riders are overtaking from both the sides, and violating the lane disciplines. The speed of the vehicles you see always high on roads that are often in bad shape with a  pothole. But that bold lady, I see trying really hard to make them follow the traffic rules. She shouts, she screams and when needed she cuts the cheat sheets. Oh that real Iron lady, Oh that traffic police didi.... !!!

I wonder how many of you have an idea about the facilities she, like other lady traffic police is getting from Nepal Government? I have heard lady traffic police have no enough place to live in. Not even separate restrooms to rest. Recently one of the national publication published an article regarding this and nothing has been done yet. I had a thought and that says, we spend so much amount in women empowerment, leadership and equality but when it comes to grassroot level, it never reaches.

I speak, Why are we serving those "useless 601 Constitution Assembly(CA) members for this long and Why are these real heroes go invisible instead? We hear Prachanda's new residence was purchased for Rs. 103 millions, Prakash his son posted in his facebook that it was leased for Nrs. 60,000 per month. Whatever it is, but why aren't we concerned about those traffic policemen's place to reside yet.

My another confusion, I wonder how much these traffic police are paid for their performance because working in field, ignoring the weather, and tackling hundred thousands of people directly is not an easy task and let's not forget traffic police themselves are not secure too. I remember an incident when a lady traffic police was hit by a bike and ran away: Please refer : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Czzp487qEFg&feature=player_embedded ....you will gasp for a minute.

So, let's think about these traffic policemen for a second and start respecting them as their dedication towards the mankind is beyond price. Three Cheers to that Traffic police didi , Three Cheers to the entire Traffic Policemen !

Keep living and loving!
